State Intellectual Property Office: Announcement on the Comprehensive Implementation of Online Applications for Opposition Cases

In order to further improve the electronic level of trademark opposition applications and promote the green development of the trademark industry, the Trademark Office of the State Intellectual Property Office will fully implement online applications for trademark agency opposition cases. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
1. Starting from December 1, 2023, trademark agencies handling opposition business should, in principle, submit electronic applications through the trademark online service system and no longer submit paper materials.
2. From the date of issuance of this notice to December 1st, it will be the "transition period" for comprehensively improving the online application for opposition cases of trademark agencies. Trademark agencies must make various preparations. Agencies that do not have an account in the trademark online service system should do so as soon as possible. Apply for registration.
