I. About how to pay the fee

1. Can all trademark applications be paid online?

A: Yes, including online applications and paper applications. 2.

2. How to send the notice of payment?

A: (1) Paper applications are sent with a paper notice of fee payment, which is mailed by registered mail. The mailing rules are the same as other forms.

(2) Online applications will be sent by electronic notification of payment. 3.

3. To whom is the notice of fee payment sent?

A: If an agent is commissioned, it is sent to the agent, who pays the fee; if no agent is commissioned, it is sent to the party, who pays the fee by himself/herself.

4. When will the notice of fee payment be sent?

(2) For trademark applications without acceptance, it is sent before approval.

5. What kind of notification of payment has a payment code? What is the purpose of the payment code?

A: (1) If the parties submit the application directly in the Trademark Office Registration Hall, Zhongguancun Office, Trademark Review and Adjudication Center outside Beijing, the receiving window, or through the postal service or other courier enterprises, the notification of payment has a payment code.

(2) If the agency has not registered a formal user on the online application platform, the payment notice has a payment code.

(3) The payment code is used for online payment by simple users.

A: (1) If the application is submitted online, the online application system pays online.

III. Issues Related to the Payment of Fees by Agencies That Have Already Filed a Record

1. How to pay the fee for the paper application submitted by the agency which has the digital certificate for online trademark application?

A: At the same time when the Trademark Office sends out the notification of paper fee payment, the order of paper application to be paid will be displayed in "Online Application User Login"-"Business Management to be Paid", and the fee of paper application will be paid online directly.

2. How to pay the fee for paper application submitted by the agency without digital certificate for online trademark application?

A: Upon receipt of the paper fee payment notice issued by the Trademark Office, the agency will pay the paper application fee online according to the fee payment code after simple user registration and login in the online application.

3. How to pay the fee for paper application after applying for digital certificate for the agency without digital certificate for online trademark application?

A: Upon receipt of the paper fee payment notice issued by the Trademark Office, those who have the fee payment code will pay the fee in "Simple User Login", and those who don't have the fee payment code will pay the fee in "Online Application User Login" - "Pending Payment If you do not have a payment code, pay the fee in "Online Application User Login" - "Payment to be made". (Note: the fee payment notice for paper application submitted by the agency without digital certificate has fee payment code; the fee payment notice for paper application submitted by the agency after successfully logging in the application for digital certificate does not have fee payment code).

IV. Issues related to advance payment

1. How to submit the application for refund of prepayment?

(2) The parties and agencies without digital certificates shall send the zeroing confirmation form (see the "Refund Guidelines" annex in the "Trademark Business Payment Guidelines" for details) to the Trademark Office by post.

2. What is the application for zero payment?

A: After February 29, 2020, there will be no more prepayment, and the agency can submit an application for liquidation of prepayment, and the Trademark Office will, according to the application, refund the balance of the money remitted to the Trademark Office by the agency to the designated account.

3. When can the advance payment be refunded?

A: After March 1, 2020, the refund of zeroing will start for the agents who provide correct account information in the application for advance payment.

V. Questions about receipt of bills

1. How are bills issued?

A: All electronic bills are issued and downloaded and printed into the account by themselves. If the party concerned handles the trademark application by itself, the e-ticket will be issued to the party concerned; if the party concerned entrusts the trademark agency to handle the trademark application, the e-ticket will be issued to the trademark agency.

2. How to get the bills?

A: Log in to the trademark online service system (official user or simple user) to download the e-ticket by yourself after 5-7 working days of payment. The retention period of e-note of Trademark Online Service System is 3 months, the parties and agents should download the e-note in time after payment of the fee, and if the retention period is exceeded, they need to apply to the Trademark Office and then log in the Trademark Online Service System to download the e-note.
