Interim Measures for Handling Related Business After Joining the Hague Agreement

The entrance to the international design application system (https://hague-agreement-design.cponline.cnipa.gov.cn) will be closed at 12:00 on January 10, 2023 (Tuesday). To avoid the risk of application delays, applicants are requested to complete the submission of pending cases before 12:00 on January 10, 2023 (Tuesday).
In order to further improve the quality and efficiency of patent examination and provide the public with efficient and convenient examination services, the State Intellectual Property Office decided to launch the "Patent Business Processing System" on January 11, 2023, to integrate and optimize patent electronic application, online supplement of patent payment information and Management, patent affairs services, PCT international patent applications, international design applications and other business systems.The "Patent Business Processing System" will support the web version, mobile terminal and client. At that time, the patent business processing system will provide functions related to international design applications.
After the patent business processing system goes online, the design international application system and its client will cease service. The system suspension time and related precautions are now notified as follows:
1. The entrance to the international design application system (https://hague-agreement-design.cponline.cnipa.gov.cn) will be closed at 12:00 on January 10, 2023 (Tuesday). To avoid the risk of application delays, applicants are requested to complete the submission of pending cases before 12:00 on January 10, 2023 (Tuesday).
2. In order to cooperate with the launch of the patent business processing system client, the design international electronic application client and the patent business processing system client cannot be installed and used at the same time. Applicants are requested to submit cases (including signed cases) through the design international electronic application client before 12:00 on January 10, 2023 (Tuesday). Cases in the waiting box will be sent in time to avoid causing delays in the application. Risk of delays.
3. In order to cooperate with the launch of the patent business processing system, the patent business processing mobile terminal will be updated at 12:00 on January 11 (Wednesday). Applicants are requested to update to the latest version before using it.
4. Starting from 12:00 on January 11, 2023 (Wednesday), applicants can use the client program of the patent business processing system to submit new international applications for designs or other documents; starting from 8 on January 26, 2023 (Thursday) Starting from :00, applicants can also use the web version of the patent business processing system (http://cponline.cnipa.gov.cn) to submit a new international design application or other documents.
During this period, the acceptance department of the Patent Office will normally accept new international design applications or other documents submitted on paper.
