The total number of registered computer software Copyrights exceeded 10 million

Since 2012, with the continuous optimization of China's copyright protection environment, the rapid improvement of software independent research and development strength, the awareness of software registration and registration enthusiasm have increased significantly, and the total number of computer software copyright registration has exceeded 10 million. The number of annual software registrations has continuously exceeded 200,000, 400,000 and 1 million in 10 years, especially since 2018, it has always remained above 1 million, and the number of annual software registrations in China has increased by 12 times compared with 2012. In the past 10 years, nearly 70% of the registrations came from the eastern region of China, and the software-strong provinces (cities) represented by Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang firmly occupied the top five registrations.
On February 27, 2023, the 7th China Internet Copyright Protection and Development Conference was held in Chengdu. During the conference, Sun Baolin, Party secretary and director of the China Copyright Protection Center, released the "National Computer Software Copyright Registration Analysis Report" at the "Software Legalization Innovation and Development Forum".
