Notice on online trial operation of software copyright registration

In order to promote the high-quality development of software registration and improve the efficiency of software registration, the China Copyright Protection Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Copyright Center") will start a trial operation of online software copyright registration from June 1, 2023.
In order to promote the high-quality development of software registration and improve the efficiency of software registration, the China Copyright Protection Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Copyright Center") will start a trial operation of online software copyright registration from June 1, 2023.
Since June 1, applicants and agents should follow the instructions of the Copyright Center software registration system, fill in the registration application information online and upload the relevant application documents, and submit the application after confirming the error. There is no need to submit or mail the paper media registration application materials to the Copyright Center. Software copyright registration applications submitted online before June 1 will still be handled in the original way. The Copyright Center Mail Processing Center will no longer accept software copyright registration application materials mailed from June 1. The Copyright Registration Hall of the Copyright Center will extend 20 working days to continue to handle software copyright registration and inquiry acceptance business until June 30.
Due to the software copyright registration online trial operation and the stock of paper media registration application materials and other factors, may make your online submission of the application can not be immediately accepted for review, resulting in your inconvenience. We will, in accordance with Article 20 of the Measures for the Registration of Computer Software Copyright, review and complete the accepted applications within 60 days from the date of acceptance.
