State Knowledge Bureau: Notice on the suspension of service of China Patent Electronic Application System and CPC Offline Electronic Application client

The system will stop service time is as follows: January 10, 2023 (Tuesday) 00:00, China patent electronic application website user registration function will stop service. From 21:00 on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, the China Patent Electronic Application website, the CPC offline electronic application client file submission function, the electronic notification request signature function, and the online signature verification function of the electronic signature notification will cease service. From 12:00 on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 to 00:00 on Monday, January 16, 2023, the online payment function of the China Patent Electronic Application Network will be provided through the patent business processing system. From 00:00 on Monday, January 16, 2023, the online payment function of the China Patent Electronic Application network will be stopped. From 00:00 on Thursday, January 26, 2023, all functions of the CPC Offline Electronic Application client will be discontinued.

In order to further improve the quality and efficiency of patent examination and provide efficient and convenient examination services to the public, the State Intellectual Property Office decided to open the "Patent Business Handling System" on January 11, 2023. Integration and optimization of patent electronic application, patent payment information online supplement and management, patent affairs services, PCT international patent application, international design application and other business systems.

The "Patent Business Handling System" will support the web version, mobile terminal and client, and registered users can submit invention patent applications, utility model patent applications, design patent applications, PCT international patent applications, international design applications, PCT national stage applications, submit patent reexamination and invalidation requests. Electronic receipt of various notices, decisions and other documents issued by the Patent Office, payment of patent fees, handling of patent legal procedures and patent services.

After the launch of the patent business handling system, the China Patent Electronic Application System and CPC offline electronic application client will stop services. Please use the Patent business handling system to handle related business in accordance with the arrangement of the Notice on the launch of the Patent Business Handling System.

The system service stop time is hereby notified as follows:

From 00:00, January 10, 2023 (Tuesday), the user registration function of the China Patent Electronic Application website will be stopped.

From 21:00 on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, the China Patent Electronic Application website, the CPC offline electronic application client file submission function, the electronic notification request signature function, and the online signature verification function of the electronic signature notification will cease service.

From 12:00 on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 to 00:00 on Monday, January 16, 2023, the online payment function of the China Patent Electronic Application Network will be provided through the patent business processing system. From 00:00 on Monday, January 16, 2023, the online payment function of the China Patent Electronic Application network will be stopped.

From 00:00 on Thursday, January 26, 2023, all functions of the CPC Offline Electronic Application client will be discontinued.
