According to reports, the General Administration of Market supervision has always focused on the commodities related to the health and property safety of the people, combined with the investigation and handling of the "iron fist" action in the field of people's livelihood, and severely cracked down on the infringement of well-known trademarks, the production and sale of "shanzhai" drinks and beverages and other illegal acts. The malicious application for registration of trademarks of social concern is included in the law enforcement focus, in September last year, together with the Intellectual Property Office to sort out the malicious application for registration of Olympic athletes name trademark related information, organized 15 provincial (municipal) market supervision departments to carry out centralized investigation and investigation, 50 cases were filed, the relevant applicants and entrusted agencies to punish according to law, and strive to maintain the order of trademark application registration.
The State Administration of Market Supervision also strengthened law enforcement in key areas to serve the overall situation of economic and social development. In May 2021, the State Administration issued the Guiding Opinions on Further Strengthening the Protection of Geographical Indications, improving the protection system of geographical indications, improving the foreign-related geographical indication protection mechanism, strengthening the interconnection of illegal clues, regulatory standards and protection information, and severely cracking down on infringement and counterfeiting of geographical indications. In October 2021, China and the Intellectual Property Office jointly organized the "Special Action for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights of Olympic Symbols for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games", and local market supervision departments investigated and handled more than 300 cases, creating a good environment for the smooth holding of the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
