Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office agreed to Hunan Province and Hunan Province Xiangtan city to carry out the construction of national intellectual property protection center, the future for advanced manufacturing and new materials industry, intelligent manufacturing and biomedicine industry to carry out rapid collaborative intellectual property protection work. So far, the number of state-level intellectual property protection centers under construction or in operation has reached 60, covering 26 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government), and a network of intellectual property protection centers covering major regions of the country has been basically established.

Hunan Province is located in the transition zone between the coastal areas and the central and western regions, the combination of the Yangtze River open Economic Belt and the coastal open economic belt, facing the major opportunities of industrial gradient transfer and national support for the development of the central and western regions. The Hunan Intellectual Property Protection Center under preparation and the Xiangtan Intellectual Property Protection Center, together with the Changsha Intellectual Property Protection Center already in operation in Hunan Province, will rapidly improve the level of intellectual property protection and service in Hunan, accelerate the concentration of innovation resources, promote the improvement of innovation ability of advantageous industries, optimize the business and innovation environment, and serve the high-quality development of the economy.
