A trademark certificate is a legal document issued to a trademark registrant by the Trademark Office of the State Intellectual Property Office in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Trademark Law to prove the scope of its exclusive right to use a trademark. The significance of the trademark certificate is that it marks that the trademark subject has obtained the exclusive right to use the trademark name, and is protected by law, and its products can be distinguished from other products in the same industry.

Trademark in China has a long history, the earliest can be traced back to more than 800 years ago in the Northern Song Dynasty, the birth of the "white rabbit" trademark, but the formal formation of China's trademark system began on November 23, 1904, when the Qing government Customs General Tax Department officially accepted trademark registration (that is, registration) in Tianjin and Shanghai, as a sign, the trademark officially began to be implemented in China. It has a history of more than 110 years. On May 3, 1923, the Beiyang Government of the Republic of China promulgated China's first complete Trademark Law, and edited and published China's first trademark management journal - Trademark Gazette. Since then, a variety of trademark registration certificates issued by the government of the Republic of China have sprung up in the world.
