Recently, the China Intellectual Property Research Society issued a series of organization standards for intellectual property appraisal, such as the "Standards for Intellectual Property Appraisal Management", "Standards for Patent Appraisal" and "Standards for Trademark Appraisal", which are open to the public on the national organization standards information platform.

The development of a series of organization standards for intellectual property authentication is to implement the work requirements of the "Outline for Building a strong Intellectual Property Country (2021-2035)" and the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the Protection and Application of National Intellectual Property Rights on establishing and improving the inspection and authentication system for intellectual property infringement disputes. It is also a major progress in promoting the introduction of national standards and group standards related to intellectual property appraisal in accordance with the work deployment of the State Intellectual Property Office's "Guiding Opinions on Strengthening Intellectual Property Appraisal Work". The publication of a series of group standards for intellectual property appraisal can provide basis and guidance for intellectual property appraisal institutions and appraisers to carry out appraisal activities, and is of great significance for promoting the professional and standardized development of the intellectual property appraisal industry.
The Intellectual Property Appraisal Committee of China Intellectual Property Research Association is the self-regulatory organization of the intellectual property appraisal industry. In March 2021, the Professional Committee of intellectual Property Appraisal launched the formulation of group standards and organized industry institutions to participate in the compilation of group standards. In the process of preparation, the relevant laws and regulations in the fields of intellectual property rights and judicial expertise were fully referred to, and opinions from all walks of life were widely solicited.
At present, the published group standards contain the basic requirements for intellectual property appraisal institutions, appraisal procedures, and specific norms for the implementation of patent and trademark appraisal. In the next stage, the China Intellectual Property Research Society will continue to compile standards for authentication organizations in the fields of trade secrets and copyright, and continue to promote the professional and standardized development of the intellectual property authentication industry.
