"Operation Blue Sky": Strictly crack down on trademark agents' forgery of evidence

In order to further standardize the order of the trademark agency market, the State Intellectual Property Office has recently organized local authorities to severely crack down on trademark agents forging evidence for geographical indication applications. So far, 3 cases have been filed and punished.
A Sichuan Trademark Agency Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as a Sichuan company) acted as an agent for the "Guanmenhongmei" geographical indication trademark application process, and tampered with the "Nanjiang County Chronicle"; a Hebei Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as a Hebei company) acted as an agent for " During the application process for the geographical indication trademark "Pleurotus eryngii in Qiu County", the "Qiu County Chronicle" was tampered with; a Shaoguan Information Technology Consulting Service Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as a Shaoguan company) represented the geographical indications of "Shaoguan Triangle Bream" and "Shaoguan Bighead Carp" During the trademark application process, the "Shaoguan Yearbook (1996-2000)", "Shaoguan Yearbook (2009)" and "Shaoguan City Chronicle (1988-2000)" were tampered with. The above three trademark agencies submitted the tampered materials as evidence to the State Intellectual Property Office, violating relevant provisions of the Trademark Law. After investigation and evidence collection by the trademark law enforcement department where the agencies were located, a company in Sichuan was given a warning and a fine of 40,000 yuan in accordance with the law; A company was given a warning and a fine of 40,000 yuan; a company in Shaoguan was given a warning and a fine of 20,000 yuan; at the same time, relevant responsible persons were given administrative penalties of warnings and fines.
In the next step, the State Intellectual Property Office will continue to crack down on violations of trademark agency laws and regulations in accordance with the highest standards, strongest measures, and strictest requirements, increase public exposure, further purify the trademark agency market, and promote the standardized development of the trademark agency industry.
