As of June 7, 2022, the number of patent application rights and patent rights transfers registered and effective by Chinese universities with the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) was statistically ranked. The top 100 Chinese universities are mainly distributed in Jiangsu, In 24 provinces and cities including Beijing, Zhejiang, Shaanxi, Shanghai, Hubei, Guangdong, Shandong, Sichuan and Hunan, the number of domestic patent transfers is 259 or more. Among them, Nanjing Forestry University ranked first with 3,503 patents, Tsinghua University ranked second with 2,562 patents, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University ranked third with 1,776 patents.
