The relevant person in charge of the State Intellectual Property Office introduced that in the first half of this year, domestic enterprises maintained strong innovation vitality. As of the end of June, the number of enterprises with valid invention patents in China reached 325,000, an increase of 20.3% year-on-year; The company had 2.107 million valid invention patents, an increase of 22% year-on-year, 4.5 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate. Among them, 155,000 high-tech enterprises and specialized and new "little giant" enterprises had 1.334 million effective invention patents, an increase of 23.4% year-on-year.
In the field of emerging technologies, China's patent reserves have been strengthened. According to reports, as of the end of June, the top three technical fields in the number of effective invention patents in China are computer technology, measurement and digital communication, accounting for 9.4%, 7.6% and 6.8% of the total, respectively. The top three growth rates were information technology management methods, computer technology and medical technology, with year-on-year growth of 78.5%, 32.3% and 27.1% respectively.
China's overseas invention patent authorization is also developing positively. In 2021, the number of invention patents authorized by Chinese applicants in major countries and regions in the world through substantive examination reached 46,000, an increase of 14.1% year-on-year and 2.4 times that of 2016, continuing the momentum of rapid growth since the "13th Five-Year Plan".
