Highlights of IP work in the central region

By June this year,the central region had accu-mulated 618,000 valid invention patents,up 19.0%year on year;the number of valid registered trade-marks had soared to 7.044 million,up 11.0% year on year.A total of 543 GI products had been offi-cially recognized,with 1,397 GIs registered as col-lective or certification trademarks,representing ap-proximately 20% of the country's total.
Thirteen national IP protection centers and five rapid enforcement centers have been es-tablished across the region.In the first half of this year,these centers handled 3,136 IP protection cases.
The direct annual output value of GIs in the central region reached 239.52 billion yuan in 2023,ac-counting for about a quarter of the country's total.
