Starting October 1st！The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office significantly increases official fees

According to the U.S. Federal Register on April 3, 2024, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office plans to make major adjustments to the patent fee structure for fiscal year 2025 and will accept public comments until June 3, 2024. This official fee adjustment is planned to be implemented on October 1, 2024.
Among them, the standard application (TEAS Plus) and non-standard application (TEAS Standard) will be adjusted to US$350 per category. This is equivalent to an increase of US$100 for each type of American standard, an increase of up to 40%. In addition, the USPTO proposes a single electronic application filing option that will no longer differentiate between standard applications (TEAS Plus) and non-standard applications (TEAS Standard).
