Notice from the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Protection Center on soliciting expansion needs in the technical field (classification number) of patent pre-examination services

The call for requirements ends on March 30, 2023. Filling in requirements (1) The classification number that needs to be expanded should correspond to the new generation of information technology and biological industry, and be outside the existing patent pre-examination service technical field (classification number) of the Guangdong Protection Center (see Appendix 2); (2) IPC classification number and Locarno classification numbers are filled in to sub-categories, and the reasons for expanding the demand and related circumstances (such as research and development direction, number of applications for relevant classification numbers in recent years, etc.) are specified. Attachment: 1. Table of expansion requirements for patent pre-examination service areas (classification numbers) 2. Guangdong Intellectual Property Protection Center’s existing patent rapid pre-examination technology areas (classification numbers)

Relevant units:

In order to improve the match between rapid patent pre-examination services and the development of new generation information technology and bio-industry in Guangdong Province, and promote pre-examination resources to further meet the practical needs of innovative entities, the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Protection Center (hereinafter referred to as the Guangdong Protection Center) plans to provide patent pre-examination service technology The fields (IPC classification numbers and Locarno classification numbers) have been adjusted, and expansion needs are now being solicited from all innovation entities and patent agencies in Guangdong Province. The relevant matters are notified as follows:

1. Collection method

Completely fill in the "Patent Pre-examination Service Technical Field (Classification Number) Expansion Demand Form" (see Attachment 1), and send the word version to the email address gippc_zlysb@gd.gov.cn. Contact person and consultation phone number: Teacher Chen 020-31608608.

2. Fill in the requirements

(1) The classification codes that need to be expanded should correspond to the new generation of information technology and biological industry, and are outside the existing patent pre-examination service technical fields (classification codes) of the Guangdong Protection Center (see Appendix 2);

(2) Fill in both the IPC classification number and the Locarno classification number into sub-categories, and specify the reasons for expanding the demand and related circumstances (such as research and development direction, number of applications for relevant classification numbers in recent years, etc.).

3. Collection time

The call for requirements ends on March 30, 2023.
