As global trade activities become increasingly active, customs plays an increasingly important role in protecting intellectual property rights. Specifically, the types of intellectual property rights protected by customs include trademark rights, copyrights, patent rights, World Expos and Olympic symbols. The protection links include import and export. The main basis for law enforcement is the customs protection laws and regulations of various countries and regions. On November 30, 2021, the "Guiding Opinions on Further Strengthening the Construction of Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Response Mechanisms" pointed out: It is necessary to carry out tracking research on overseas intellectual property legal systems and strengthen tracking of modifications to intellectual property laws, regulations and policies in key countries (regions) Research and timely release information on adjustments and changes in the legal system and policy environment for intellectual property protection in key countries (regions).
To this end, the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Protection Center and the Shenzhen Customs of the People's Republic of China jointly compiled the "Guidelines on Customs Protection Policies and Procedures for Intellectual Property Rights in Key Countries and Regions",which provide guidance for key countries and regions with frequent trade exchanges with my country, such as key European countries, the United States, Conduct research on the intellectual property customs protection policies and process guidelines of Japan, South Korea and other member states of the RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement), and sort out the core content and characteristics of their intellectual property customs protection, so that enterprises can better use intellectual property customs Protection rules expand overseas markets and protect one's own intellectual property rights, thereby safeguarding the import and export trade activities of Chinese enterprises.
