Shenzhen patent open licensing pilot platform goes online

On June 17, the Shenzhen patent open licensing pilot platform was launched online on the website of China (Shenzhen) Intellectual Property Protection Center (www.sziprs.org.cn). The online operation of this platform aims to accumulate experience and lay a foundation for the implementation and efficient operation of the patent open licensing system, striving to achieve multiple effects such as stimulating supply and demand, reserve projects, explore experience and improve policies.

This pilot platform can further promote the "one-to-many" rapid licensing of patents and provide supporting services such as policy consultation and business guidance to supply and demand parties interested in piloting open patent licensing. Patent holders who intend to publish licensing information through the platform only need to download the project intention solicitation form and open license statement document template in the "Business Guide" column of the platform, fill in and submit it, and after passing the back-end review, they can publish it on the platform for free. The pilot platform launched the first batch of 89 patents, including some limited-time free license patents. The patentees of the first batch of online projects are mainly state-owned enterprises, but also include scientific research institutes and other types of enterprises. The relevant technical fields involve strategic emerging industries such as new generation electronic information, green and low carbon, digital and fashion, in order to serve Shenzhen City.
