The annual output value of Shenzhen's robot industry reaches 158.2 billion yuan, and the number of PCT patent applications leads the country.

It is learned that in 2021, the total output value of Shenzhen's robot industry will reach 158.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.30%; the total number of enterprises will reach 945, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%; the number of PCT patent applications leads the country, far exceeding other cities.
The "White Paper on the Development of Shenzhen Robot Industry (2021)" recently released by the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Shenzhen Robot Association shows that the total output value of Shenzhen's robot industry in 2021 will be 158.2 billion yuan, compared with the total output value of Shenzhen's robot industry in 2020 of 1,434 100 million yuan increased by 10.30% year-on-year, and the output value maintained high growth.
It is understood that the total number of robot industry companies in Shenzhen will reach 945 in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 12.2% from 842 in 2020. From a regional perspective, Nanshan District and Baoan District still have the largest number of robot companies.
Judging from the total number of PCT patent applications, Shenzhen has accumulated 1,841 PCT patent applications, leading the country and far exceeding other cities. From an incremental perspective, Shenzhen has the largest number of PCT patent applications with 353 from 2020 to 2021; Beijing has 264 PCT patent applications. The number of PCT patent applications in Shanghai, Suzhou and Guangzhou are 170, 83 and 47 respectively. (Shenzhen Special Zone News)
