In order to further meet the needs of the production and operation of market players and serve the high-quality development of the economy and society, the application for expediting the examination of the applicant's follow-up business such as trademark change, transfer and renewal is explained as follows:

I. Scope of follow-up business

The scope of follow-up business includes trademark change, renewal, transfer, license filing, cancellation, correction, reissuance of registration certificates and other trademark follow-up business.

II. Market entities may apply for expedited review under any of the following circumstances

(1) The enterprise applies for listing;

(2) trademark pledge financing;

(3) Customs trademark right filing;

(4) Investigation and handling of trademark infringement cases;

(5) trademark confirmation cases in administrative procedures;

(6) the needs of litigation cases in judicial proceedings;

(7) the need for administrative licensing, administrative filing and other matters;

(8) The needs of major commercial activities, such as products in shopping malls or supermarkets or e-commerce platforms, bidding;

(9) Other circumstances requiring expedited examination for reasonable reasons.

III. Expedite the review of application document requirements

(1) Speed up the examination of applications.

The application for expedited review (Annex 1) shall state the reason for the request for expedited review, specify the contact person and contact telephone number, and attach the evidentiary materials for the relevant reasons for expedited review.

The applicant shall promise that the reasons for the expedited examination and the relevant evidence submitted are true and accurate, and will not pay any fees to any unit or individual in any form when handling the expedited examination of the application.

(2) Photocopy of the applicant's identity document.

(3) The entrusted agency shall also submit a power of attorney (Annex 2), and the entrusted agency shall promise not to charge the applicant any unreasonable fees for expediting the examination of the application.

Ⅳ. Speed up the review of application acceptance channels

(1) Submit to the Trademark Office of the State Intellectual Property Office. It can be submitted by mail or directly at the reception hall of the Trademark Office. The address of the Trademark Office is No. 1 Chama South Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, Postcode: 100055, Tel: 010-63218500.

(2) Directly submit to the follow-up business review cooperation unit located outside Beijing:

Ⅴ. Precautions

(1) If the conditions for expedited examination are met, the Trademark Office will expedite the examination and make a decision on the examination according to law; If the conditions for expedited examination are not met, the applicant shall be notified by telephone and the application documents shall not be returned.

(2) The Trademark Office shall not charge any fees for the application for expedited review of follow-up business.
