Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office announced the second batch of pilot units for multi-mode trial of patent reexamination invalidation cases. Shenzhen Protection Center was successfully selected and is the first batch of pilot units in Guangdong Province. The Shenzhen Protection Center has been approved to carry out priority review of patent reexamination and invalidation cases, remote video hearing of invalidation cases, and joint trial of rights confirmation cases and administrative ruling cases, realizing the entire process of patent application, authorization, patent rights evaluation report, reexamination and invalidation Speeding up the pre-examination will effectively increase the speed of patent rights confirmation, smooth the last mile between "quick authorization" and "quick rights protection", and further improve the rapid protection system for intellectual property rights.

Based in Pengcheng and radiating into the Bay Area, the Shenzhen Protection Center has never stopped improving its working mechanism for rapid patent rights confirmation. Since its operation, the Shenzhen Protection Center has continuously explored new models for rapid patent rights confirmation, built two professional multi-functional tribunals with high standards, and has conducted a total of 47 patent invalidation remote and circuit trials, with more than 2,000 people attending.
In the next step, the Shenzhen Protection Center will form and train a professional business team under the guidance of the State Intellectual Property Office, investigate the pre-examination needs of enterprises for invalid re-examination, and simultaneously carry out policy publicity, business promotion and training. The Shenzhen Protection Center will take the pilot work as a new opportunity to strive to explore and form more Shenzhen experiences that can be replicated and promoted, build Shenzhen into a benchmark city for intellectual property rights, and contribute more to the steady development of collaborative intellectual property protection work in the Greater Bay Area.
