In terms of intellectual property creation, the province's effective invention patents have ranked first in the country for four consecutive years, and international patent applications submitted through the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) have ranked first in the country for 12 consecutive years. In the 15th China Patent Awards selection event, Guangdong Province won 5 gold awards (including 1 design gold award) and 67 excellence awards, ranking among the top in the country in terms of the number of awards.
