Conditions for applying for an international PCT application

A: The applicant submits an international patent application to the receiving Office on the basis of his or her nationality or residency:
The applicant must meet one of the following conditions,
(1) Chinese citizens or Chinese legal persons,
(2) For a foreigner who has a long-term residence in China or a foreign legal person registered in the Chinese industrial and commercial sector, if there are multiple applicants, as long as one of the applicants is qualified, different applicants can be designated for different countries.
International patent applications are written in the prescribed languages: the State Intellectual Property Office of China accepts two languages, namely Chinese and English;
An international patent application shall include at least the following items: The description is filed as an international patent application; Designate at least one Contracting State; State the name of the applicant; Instructions; A claim.
Only inventions or utility models can be protected through the PCT, and designs cannot be protected through the PCT.
