Notice from the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Office on launching patent investigation work in 2022

State Intellectual Property Offices at all levels and above: In order to implement the task deployment of the "14th Five-Year Plan for National Intellectual Property Protection and Utilization Plan" on "strengthening the statistical investigation of the transfer and transformation of intellectual property rights", the State Intellectual Property Office has decided to continue to conduct nationwide Conduct patent investigations within the scope. Municipal intellectual property offices at or above the local level:

In order to implement the task arrangement of "Strengthening the Statistical Investigation of the Transfer and Transformation of Intellectual Property Rights" in the "14th Five-Year Plan for National Intellectual Property Protection and Utilization", the State Intellectual Property Office decided to continue to carry out patent investigations nationwide in 2022. In order to successfully complete this task, our office will cooperate with the State Intellectual Property Office to carry out patent investigations across the province. The relevant matters are now clarified as follows:

1. Investigation objects

The objects of the 2022 patent survey are: 2,458 patent holders in the province (excluding reserved samples), and 5,000 patents that remain valid as of the end of 2021 (excluding reserved samples).

2. Investigation methods

The 2022 patent survey will be completed electronically by logging in to the "National Intellectual Property Survey Platform" at https://cnipa.idata3d.com/. The account and password of the survey subject will be provided separately.

3. Relevant requirements

(1) This survey is protected by the Statistics Law of the People's Republic of China. The approval number of the National Bureau of Statistics is: Guotongzhi [2021] No. 63. Relevant units or individuals must be true, accurate, complete and timely in accordance with national laws and relevant regulations. Provide the information required for statistical investigations in an accurate manner and effectively prevent concealment, omissions, and false reporting from occurring.

(2) Scientifically arrange the distribution and recovery of questionnaires to ensure the progress of the investigation. Concentrate efforts on the distribution of questionnaires, follow-up visits, questionnaire recycling and other tasks, provide timely feedback on problems discovered during the investigation process, ensure that the main body of the investigation is completed before August 15, and submit completion reports to various locations simultaneously.

(3) Each unit shall submit the project leader and specific manager information to the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Protection Center before June 16 (see the attachment for the submission form).
