Guangdong Province Patent Open Licensing Pilot Zone Officially Launched

This zone is the main platform for provincial patent open licensing acceptance and information release. It is responsible for coordinating the province's patent open licensing information release work, achieving platform building, resource pooling, and strong publicity in one step.

Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Patent Open Licensing Pilot Zone was officially launched on the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Public Information Comprehensive Service Platform (http://www.gpic.gd.cn). On July 14, the first batch of patent open licensing pilot zones were completed and passed the verification of the Guangzhou Agency. Licensing information is released. A total of 20 open license patents are released this time, mainly in the technical fields necessary for human life, physics and electricity. The open license periods are concentrated in 5 years and 8 years, with the longest being 9 years. The scope is mostly nationwide. Currently, the special area provides multiple functional services including the release of open licensing catalogues, precise searches of patent technologies, summary of open licensing policies, information reminders, acceptance service guidelines, etc., which can quickly and easily help users screen the required patent results and understand the market value of patents. Through the patent open licensing pilot area, we can further promote the docking of patent licensing information, expand the audience, and increase the transaction rate, which will help solve the "dilemma" of the difficulty in patent conversion in universities and colleges and the difficulty in obtaining patented technology by small, medium and micro enterprises, and make the patent open licensing system more universal.
In the next step, the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Protection Center will continue to strengthen the construction of the main platform and realize the one-stop function of acceptance and information release in August to provide more convenient and efficient open licensing services for innovation entities in our province and the public. Users can fill in the patent open licensing information online and upload relevant materials according to the acceptance process guidelines to quickly implement a "one-to-many" patent licensing application. The platform will publish it after passing the review.
