According to customs statistics, in 2021, Guangdong Province's total import and export with the EU's top ten trading partners was 805.79 billion yuan, accounting for 87.3% of Guangdong Province's total import and export value with the EU that year. Among them, Germany remains the largest trading partner, with imports and exports reaching 217.03 billion yuan, an increase of 11.6%. The 2021 annual report on overseas intellectual property dispute information of Guangdong enterprises shows that the number of overseas intellectual property dispute cases between Guangdong enterprises and Germany ranks among the top. Yang Xuzhen, chief representative of the Guangdong Provincial Economic and Trade Representative Office in Germany, said that Guangdong enterprises in Germany have a high demand for overseas intellectual property protection services, especially intellectual property rights protection assistance services for key overseas exhibitions.
