On the morning of January 9, the 5th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo and International Geographical Indication Products Trade Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "5th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo") grandly opened in the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City.

The fifth Intellectual Property Fair and Land Expo was jointly organized by the Guangdong Provincial Administration for Market Regulation (Intellectual Property Office), the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government, the Intellectual Property Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Economic and Technological Development Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. With the theme of "Implementing the Outline of Building a Strong Country and Promoting the Construction of a New Development Pattern", the conference comprehensively highlights the characteristics of intellectual property transactions, enriches geographical indication product trading activities, accelerates the realization of the value of intellectual property, assists the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and strengthens intellectual property protection and application to build an international cooperation platform for intellectual property rights.

After the opening ceremony, the intellectual property "trade expo, bay area forum, and special events" of the fifth Intellectual Property Fair and Land Expo will be held online from January 9 to 11. This year's Intellectual Property Fair and Land Expo has many highlights, with many innovative initiatives accelerating the realization of the value of intellectual property rights. For the first time, the International Geographical Indication Products Trade Expo was added to promote the organic integration of geographical indication agriculture and rural revitalization strategies, striving to build a geographical indication "trade port" based in the Bay Area and radiating around the world; the first China Patent Gold Award Achievements Exhibition Area was set up to create a display of important innovative achievements. window; more prominently the function of the intellectual property transaction and transformation platform, 4,100 exhibiting institutions and more than 14,000 intellectual property exhibits competed to appear in the cloud, and special events for intellectual property auctions and geographical indication promotions worked together to open up intellectual property transformation and transaction channels. In the next three days, market entities with transaction needs for patents, trademarks, geographical indications, copyrights, etc. can participate in online exhibitions, negotiate cooperation, discuss intellectual property hot spots, and extensively carry out intellectual property transfer and transformation and geographical indication products. Transaction activities fully connect the supply and demand sides of intellectual property, gather innovative resources for implementation and transformation, and comprehensively promote the three-dimensional development of "Intelligence Fair + Internet".

At the same time, the conference officially announced that it will permanently settle in the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, the only experimental field in the country approved by the State Council to carry out comprehensive reforms in the use and protection of national intellectual property rights.
