Morocco joins the Hague Agreement, the international design registration system

On April 22, 2022, Morocco deposited its ratification document for joining the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement (also known as the 1999 Act) to the World Intellectual Property Organization. Since then, Morocco will become the 69th party to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement. At the same time It is also the 78th party to the Hague Agreement. Morocco's accession will take effect on July 22, 2022. That is to say, from July 22, 2022, Moroccan nationals and residents will be eligible to submit applications for international design registration to the Hague Agreement Organization, and at the same time contract under the Geneva Act Nationals and residents of the other party may choose to specify Morocco when submitting an application for international design registration.
