The first (WIPO) World Intellectual Property Organization Global Awards were announced, and China ranked first in the number of award-winning companies

According to the official website of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), on July 19, the first WIPO Global Awards ceremony was held during the WIPO General Assembly. Five companies stood out from 272 applicants from 62 countries and won the trophy. The award-winning companies, in alphabetical order, are: Hydraloop (Netherlands), Lucence (Singapore), Ripaining (China), Xinlong Optoelectronics (China) and Splink (Japan). In terms of the number of award-winning companies, China occupied two seats, becoming the country with the most winning companies in the first WIPO Global Awards.

It is reported that the WIPO Global Award is a global awards program launched by the World Intellectual Property Organization, aiming to recognize companies and individuals around the world that have a positive impact on domestic and foreign economic, social and cultural progress through the use of intellectual property. The five winning companies will receive exclusive guidance plans and other forms of support and assistance from WIPO to assist in the transformation and application of their corporate intellectual property rights.
According to information on WIPO's official website, the two Chinese companies that won this award are Suzhou Ruipai Ning Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Xinlong Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. Suzhou Ruipining Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2009. Its business scope includes the development and production of radiation detection and imaging equipment. The new digital sampling technology independently developed by this company leads the world, and it has applied for and obtained more than 100 patents in the United States, Germany, Japan and other countries. Shanghai Xinlong Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2010. Its main business scope includes the production, processing and marketing of LED lamps. It has been named the "2021 Technology-based Small and Medium-sized Enterprises".
