Announcement on launching Cambodia’s accelerated recognition and registration project for Chinese-related designs

According to the "Memorandum of Understanding on Design Cooperation between the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technology and Innovation of the Kingdom of Cambodia", China and Cambodia will launch Cambodia's recognition project for Chinese-related designs. The Ministry of Industry, Science and Technology of Cambodia recognizes the design authorization results issued by the China National Intellectual Property Office, and will expedite the recognition and registration process for corresponding design applications submitted to Cambodia based on the applicant's request.
According to the "Memorandum of Understanding on Design Cooperation between the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technology and Innovation of the Kingdom of Cambodia", China and Cambodia will launch Cambodia's recognition project for Chinese-related designs. The Ministry of Industry, Science and Technology of Cambodia recognizes the design authorization results issued by the China National Intellectual Property Office, and will expedite the recognition and registration process for corresponding design applications submitted to Cambodia based on the applicant's request.
On June 9, 2022, Cambodian Minister of State and Minister of Industry, Science and Technology and Innovation Cham Prasi signed and issued the "Regulations of the Kingdom of Cambodia on Accelerating Design Approval Registration within the Design Cooperation Framework with the State Intellectual Property Office of China" and Process Announcement", officially launching Cambodia's China-related design recognition project. Applicants who submit a design application to the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technology of Cambodia can use the review results made by the China State Intellectual Property Office to submit a request for accelerated recognition and registration of the design application submitted in Cambodia in accordance with the Cambodian announcement. In order to facilitate patent holders and the public to handle matters related to accelerated recognition and registration in Cambodia, the original Cambodian text and the Chinese and English reference translations of the above-mentioned Cambodian announcement are now reproduced in full.
