After the trademark is split, the application trademark will have two trademark application numbers, one is the original application number, and one is followed by the letter A, but both application numbers can be used equally. The applicant can first get A certificate with A, if the subsequent review is successful, then you will get two trademark certificates, do not affect the subsequent use. However, if the rejection of the successful review, the future trademark change, transfer, renewal and other costs will be double, need to be measured by the applicant.
Whether to apply for trademark division is a right granted to the applicant by the new Trademark Law, and it is not mandatory. Whether it is divided depends on the applicant's attitude and needs. It should be noted that: First, once the trademark division application is made, it cannot be withdrawn. Second, the time limit for filing an application for trademark division shall be submitted to the Trademark Office within 15 days from the date of receiving the Notice of partial Rejection of the Trademark Registration Application from the Trademark Office.
