Q: What documents should an applicant who has no regular residence in China submit to the patent department when applying for a patent?
A：
1. If the applicant is an individual, provide proof of his/her nationality;
2. If the applicant is an enterprise or other organization, provide the supporting documents of the country or region where it is registered;
3. The State of the applicant recognizes that Chinese entities and individuals may, under the same conditions as nationals of that State, provide documents evidenting the enjoyment of patent rights, priority rights and other patent-related rights in that State.
In addition, the necessary materials such as the request and the five application documents shall be submitted in accordance with relevant regulations.
